 MAIN TOKYO SIGHTSEEINGS 

 TOKYO TOWER

  
 

Tokyo Tower is the highest television and radio tower in Tokyo. It is transmitting 24 broadcast waves and standing 333 meters in height. The Tokyo Tower is a beautiful decoration of the city, popular among tourists and young couples as one of the most attractive dating spots in Tokyo. It can be seen from different areas of the megalopolis.  In the evening 176 lights lit up the tower from different sides- this view is really impressive and attracts here many tourists every season. Depending on the season the tower changes it`s colour - in winter it is orange, in summer it is white. From the observation platform, which is 150 meters above the ground, one can see absolutely fantastic scenery of Tokyo! When the weather is fine you are welcome to get on the special observation platform, which is 250 meters above the ground, and enjoy a hilarious view of Mt. Fuji!

 

IMPERIAL PALACE
 
 

It is mostly famous as Edo Castle. The Japanese emperor and his wife are currently living in the Palace. On the 23d of December many Japanese citizens and foreign tourists are visiting the Imperial Palace to greet the Emperor on his birthday. On that day, only once a year, the Emeperor`s Palace gardens are open for visitors. You   have an exclusive opportunity to congratulate the Japanese Emperor on his birthday and listen to his speech in front

of the royal family!


GINZA
 
 

Ginza is the main shopping spot of Tokyo, which can be compared to the Oxford Avenue in London and the 5th Avenue in New York. There you are welcome to enjoy luxurious apparel boutiques of the most famous European brands- CHANEL, LOUIS VUITTON, PRADA, GUCCI etc. On weekends Ginza is open for pedestrians.

 
 
ASAKUSA
 
 

Asakusa is one of the oldest districts in Tokyo. Visiting Asakusa one can enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient Japan. Tourists are mostly impressed by the tremendous view of the red gates Kaminari Mon and take a lot of unforgettable photos in front of the temple Senso. On the way to the temple you will pass a lot of souvenir shops that will not let you stay indifferent to the gorgeous Omiyage and Japanese traditional sweets.

 
 
ODAIBA 
 

Odaiba is a considerably new district of Tokyo. It is mostly famous for it`s beautiful night view on the Tokyo Bay. Tokyo citizens love Odaiba  for it`s fantastic Rainbow Bridge which makes Odaiba one of the most popular romantic spots in Tokyo. The night scenery of Tokyo Bay surrounded by luxurious skyscrappers reflected in the water is amazingly nice. Odaiba is good not only in the evening- during the day time  it is good for families going shopping and children who like amusement parks. Joy Police, Aqua City and many restaurants with the view on  the sea side attract not only tourists visiting Tokyo but also regular Tokyo citizens.

 
HARAJUKU
 

If you are like fashion and are interested in Japanese punk culture, the streets of HARAJUKU will be defintely attractive for you! This district of  Tokyo is famous for it`s cosplay parades and cheap and bright apparel stores.  Do you like Elvis Prestley? In Harajuku you can meet the Japanese fans of Elvis who are arranging performances playing his music every Sunday! If you are into Japanese anime you have a good chance to see high school girls dressed up like their favorite anime characters! If you are ready to wake up early on Sunday morning right  in front of the station Harajuku, not far from the Meiji JIngu you will see the brightest cosplay show in Tokyo! Not far from the station, at Takeshita  Doori you can buy the weirdest costume for a very resonable price- that is one of the reasons why Harajuku is so popular among the Japanese teenagers. Another one is it`s spirit of Freedom and possibility to express yourself in every way you feel like.

 
 
AKIHABARA
 
 

It is not a secret that Japan is famous for it`s high technologies.  The best place to see and buy the best and considerably cheap equipment in Tokyo is Akihabara. It is located in the center of Tokyo, not far from Imperial Palace and attracts attention of many tourists visiting Japan!  If you are interested in high technologies, Akihabara Electric City is waiting for you! There you will find a great variety of high tech goods for reasonable  prices! Another side of Akihabara is it`s MANGA cafes. Akihabara is the most favorite spot for the fans of MANGA and ANIME. Recently there have been opened so-called "Maid Kissa" where the Japanese waitresses dressed up like western maids are serving coffee and snack. They have been  extremelly popular among Japanese men these days.

 
SHIBUYA

 

If Harajuku is popular among the Japanese teenagers and cosplay fans, in Shibuya you will meet people of different ages! It is full of students and young people who are looking for an adventure. It is bright, noisy and shocking in different ways- life is literally boiling in this area!  Thousands of restaurants, cinema theaters, shopping centers and night clubs attract both Japanese and foreign adventure lovers. Shibuya station is also related  with the legendary dog Hachiko who was waiting for it`s master for several years, coming to the station every single day. Nobody could explain the dog that the master died and will never come to the station again. When the dog died the citizens of Tokyo decided to put the monument commemorating  the devotion of Hachiko. Nowadays it is the main meeting in spot in front of Shibuya station.

 

ROPPONGI

 

 

 Roppongi is one of the modern districts of Tokyo. This is the area of foreign Embassies and luxurious boutiques of the most famous European brands. On one side you will see the great building of Roppongi Hills which is good for shopping and full of restaurants where you can try the most delicious dishes  of any cuisine you can ever imagine, on the other side Roppongi is great for it`s Museums of Modern Art and various galleries. In the night Roppongi is mostly visited by foreigners and it is not surprising since this district is considered to be the center of the Japanese clubbing culture.

 

UENO

 

 

 The district of Ueno has a long history. Nowadays it is mostly associated with it`s Zoo and Ueno park which is so popular during the Cherry Blossom season!  At the same time Ueno is also loved for it`s Museums and Exhibitions. If you are interested in Japanese history or literature, you will definitely enjoy the  collection of the Tokyo National Museum. Ueno park is beautiful in every season and especially in Spring when it is naturally decorated with cherry blossoms  and in Autumn with red leaves.
